Leveling & EXP. Information
EXP Eligibility
For a drawing of your dinosaur to count towards EXP it must fit these criteria:
- Must be recognizable as your dinosaur and match the import
- You may slightly alter the shape of the feathers or markings when they are drawn as a juvenile or baby, but the amount must stay the same as the import and the dino you draw must still look like the import!
- Artworks not fitting the standards for quest submission can still be submitted for EXP (i.e. drawings without backgrounds, drawn in non-PA universes, etc.)
- Must be your own dinosaur; you cannot claim EXP for other characters
Submitting EXP & Leveling
Quest EXP is automatically added to the focus character when a quest is approved and rolled. For all other dinos who cameo in the quest, and all other non-quest art, you must make an EXP submission
Each level is 30 EXP, so for example, a Level 4 Dinosaur would have a total of 120 EXP. Levels do not equate to how old your dinosaur is. Instead, Levels are used as a way to earn stat points and breeding slots!
To assign a level to your dinosaur, go to its page on the site and click on "Level Area" from the side bar. From here you can level it up if it has enough exp!
Stat points are still a WIP but you can see them on your dinosaur's page as well!
- Uncounted, non-quest EXP is added thru an EXP Check-In Submission
- Any errors or discrepancies in EXP previously earned can be fixed thru EXP Corrections

- Each time your dinosaur levels up, it will gain 1 stat point!
- For every 10 levels your dinosaur gains, it will receive +1 breeding slot!
(New slots are not yet automated, so if your dinosaur has reached the correct level, feel free to make a claim on the site and a mod will manually grant the new slot!)

Calculating EXP
Here is a guide for calculating EXP for each submission for your dinosaur:
TRACED AND HEAVILY REFERENCED ARTWORK WILL NOT BE COUNTED FOR EXP.
You cannot use photographs in place of a drawn background.
Stamp brushes and photo texture brushes are allowed, but should not be over-used. Make sure your illustration doesn't rely heavily on these elements.

Artwork:
-Busts & Headshots (less than 75% of the Dinosaur)
-Pixels: Pixel art EXP is counted the same as non-pixel art. Simplistic pixel art will get the simplistic debuff, animations will get animation EXP, etc. -Simplistic Art: Art that is much more simplistic than your typical style will be counted at half the EXP. This means you calculate the EXP as normal, and then multiply the total by 0.5 -Bases and Re-used Lineart/Backgrounds Pieces using re-used assets will be counted at x0.5 EXP.
Animation
Animation EXP is combined with the EXP from above depending on how much of the character is shown, the coloring/shading, and background.
For each animated scene, total up the EXP from above and then add the animation EXP:
