Quest Requirements
Quests are one of the main activities for Primeval Age! They're a way to gain items, currency, experience, etc! Some quests may have certain requirements so be sure to check those before participating! Different types of quests also drop different types and amounts of loot.
All quests are submitted and rolled thru the lorekeeper site! Make sure you have an account and a dino uploaded on there to participate in current and future quests!
While you don't have to follow the canon lore and information of the ARPG for your personal stories of your dinosaur, you MUST follow the lore and canon of the ARPG for official activities like Quests, Prompts and Events!
This includes:

This includes:
- No outside ARPG species
- No extinct species, or creatures that do not exist
- No dinosaurs that don't exist in the ARPG
- No humans (but you can include man-made items and buildings)
- However, you may include any modern day species that you would like!
Lorekeeper Gallery
The lorekeeper site allows you to submit images and literature that you created, or collaborated on yourself, into a PA specific gallery! This gallery can be used in place of an off-site gallery to host images and literature.
To submit to the gallery, navigate to the Browse tab, and find the Gallery section. From here you can submit to the correct section! Quests will still need to be submitted normally

Quest Credit
Most quests are one submission per dino, meaning only one dino in the piece can count for any one quest submission!
Quests can only be used for one person, meaning that the roll goes to the player who submits the quest!
If two people want to share a submission, it must be divided into two separate parts; see the split image rules for more details!

- Aging quests may have up to 2 of your own characters age up within one submission
- Breeding submissions count for both characters as a quest image, but since Exp is not rolled during these submissions they will need to be separately submitted for Exp approval

Time Limits & Old Art
Prompts with time limits must be created during the duration of the limit, for example monthlies and event quests. This means works created prior to the event/monthly cannot be submitted for those prompts. This does not apply to non-time limited quests, such as normal hunting quests
Every submission must follow the current Split Image rules, and current Quality Standards - unused old quest art that was made during different rules must adhere to the current rules if you would like to use it in a quest!

Artist/Author Credit & Source
Submissions from offsite must be within the creator's gallery, both for crediting purposes and to compare previous works
Galleries and bodies of work that are linked will be treated as the frame of reference when submissions are checked. This means that if the style of the work is drastically different than the gallery, this may affect the passability of the submission, or how exp is calculated. This also means that galleries should have similar mediums to compare to, such as literature entries existing alongside more literature entries

- Works submitted directly into public galleries on art sites or social medias do not need an additional credit link, as long as there is an existing gallery to compare to
- Submissions that are a direct link and not within a gallery will not be accepted, this includes Google Docs & Deviantart Sta.sh

Collabs & RP
Collaborations are allowed for any submissions, unless otherwise stated! Collab agreements are up to the participating artists, we do not monitor how the work is divided up. Collaborators do not need to be part of PrimevalAge to contribute, however they still need to be credited and sourced
Collaborated submissions must still follow all other image rules and standards. Additionally, collaborated submissions still only count as 1 submission per dino/person - so if you want two+ submissions, you will need to make separate pieces, or divide up the existing piece so that both halves meet the requirements.
Collabs receive no loot bonuses, however each collaborator will get an EXP bonus !
Roleplays can be considered collaborated literature submissions, as long as they are readable and otherwise meet all the quest requirements. Each person's part does not need to be marked in the RP, but each person should be credited/sourced

Redeeming Loot from Quests
For all quests (except Aging quests) not all loot will automatically go into your inventory. Instead it is dispersed in two ways:
For all quests (except Aging quests) not all loot will automatically go into your inventory. Instead it is dispersed in two ways:
- Currencies are automatically added to the quest submitter's bank
- Item drops are added to the inventory of the focus character.
From here you will need to go into that character's inventory and transfer any items you want to use into your own inventory. This means if you are borrowing someone else's character to do a quest with, the owner will need to manually transfer the rewards to you

- Basic species anatomy must be present; such as long snouts, necks, number of fingers, etc. defining features of the species. For example, a cryo cannot be drawn without their crests, or a sucho with a short snout
- Features that are not present on the import, such as feather crests, spikes, quills, etc. are not allowed for official artwork
- Scars & Accessories must be present except in instances where it would make sense to be missing (the dino being drawn as a baby before getting scars, for example)
Character Age
Characters can be depicted as any age for most quests and event prompts. The only exceptions are:
Characters are allowed to "grow into" their markings, as long as the import is still recognizable. They can also present slightly different markings/colors when at young ages, similar to real life animals

50% vs 75%
Most quests will require either 50% or 75% of a dinosaur to be visible to be passable. These percentages are based on what Sections of a character are visible in the image. Characters covered by their own body (such as when facing the front) do not count against these percentages, however, characters covered by other characters or scene elements does count against it.
