Design Submission Checklist
Sometimes it's hard to keep track of all the different things you have and haven't done with your import! Plus, this checklist can help you avoid being dinged for a mistake when you submit your Import for Import Approval!
General Colors:
- Is your RGB base color correct?
- Is the gum color within the saturation limits?
- Are your markings all naturally colored? Including Horns, Beaks, and Nails - Skin (If feathered) - and Teeth?
- Is your dinosaur male and have a Dimorphic marking? Is it color picked? Is the border the same quality as the father/grandparents? (Feathered, textured, Solid, ect)
- If your lineart is colored, have you left the pupil uncolored? Is your lineart darker than the colors it sits on top of?
- Does your dinosaur have any Hom. markings? If not, are your markings within the Het. ranges?
Click here for the Het. VS Hom. Guide. - Are all of your Het. markings within the Het. ranges/following the Het. rules?
- Are all of your Hom. markings within their ranges/following the Hom. rules?
- Are your markings required to be lighter/darker than the base? Can they have holes? Are they hard edged or gradient edged?
- Have you drawn all of the markings? If some are hidden under another marking, have you made a note in the comments section?
- Is the background transparent, and the shadow removed? Are the credits still intact?
- Is this your starter dino? Make sure to add "Newbie" to its name so we can review it faster!
- Have you made a note about what the dimorph marking is?
- Do you need to provide a marking breakdown?
- Are all your addons (min marks, geno editors, etc.) selected?
- If your design is asymmetrical, have you provided a link to the other side?
Design Uploading Instructions
Make sure you save your design as a transparent PNG at the same resolution as the file you downloaded, with a transparent background & the credits. Backgrounds are automatically added by the site, so do not include them!
Once your design is ready to submit, you will hit the ‘Submit Design’ button on the geno’s site page.
From there, you will click Create Request, which will bring you to the design request page.
Here you'll need to go through each of the tabs (Comments, Masterlist Image, Add-Ons, and Adjustments) and add any needed info & hit save. You'll know a tab is good to go when it has a green circle on it!
You can also save your design submission as a draft if you're not ready to submit it - if the design form is not submitted, it will remain as a draft unless you delete!

- In the comments box you can provide links to making breakdowns, "other sides" for asymmetrical designs, or any other comments for the approving mods to consider when checking the design!
- For the Masterlist Image, this is where you upload the import with the transparent bg. You will also use the cropping tool on the page to create your imports thumbnail!
- AddOns is where you'll attach any items such as min marks, or geno editors
- Adjustments are if any items you added changed something like the dimorph color. In most cases you'll just leave this page as-is
- On the Status Tab you can then hit "Submit Request" to submit your design! When a mod checks it, if any edits are needed you will get the request sent back to you as a draft so you can upload a corrected import image. (If you can't see the updated design image, make sure to clear your browser's cache and refresh!)
You can also save your design submission as a draft if you're not ready to submit it - if the design form is not submitted, it will remain as a draft unless you delete!
